State of the Map Taiwan / Wikidata Community Summit、Fediverse & Social Web、開源政策、OSPN 日本、臺灣自由軟體在地化社群、農業開放資料社群、匿名網路社群 anoni.net 等議程軌,涵蓋開放文化與公共議題。

In 2026, COSCUP enters its 21st year! This year, for the first time, we are joining hands with UbuCon Asia, the event promoting Ubuntu across Asia, to bring open source contributors and communities from Taiwan, Asia, and around the world to Taipei.
We warmly invite all Coders, Users, Promoters, and community partners to save the dates: August 8–9. Come back to our familiar venue, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, with an open mind and the urge to “Show Me Your Code / Idea.” Let’s exchange ideas with people who believe in freedom and openness, and share what we have built and learned over the past year.

Get Your Experience Ready and Step onto the Stage
Three days left! Now is the perfect time to send your ideas to COSCUP. The Call for Proposals is scheduled to close on May 9, 2026, AoE. We welcome technical demos, tool research, and engineering talks, as well as topics on open source business adoption, community collaboration, documentation localization, and many other areas.
Your story does not need to be a “perfect” story from a community, project, company, or enterprise.
If your experience has helped you avoid a detour, it is worth sharing so that others can avoid one too.
Submit your proposal Direct HERE! | Call for Proposals announcement

AI, LLMs, and Data Applications: Your Experience Is Waiting to Be Shared
From Twinkle AI training data, open AI governance, civic tech, to the underlying technologies and user experiences of open LLMs, there are many directions for you to explore. Whether your topic is Agentic Coding, Vibe Coding, RAG, AI Agents, model deployment, dataset processing, or observations from bringing AI into public-interest contexts, your experience deserves to be heard.
Bringing Experience into More Complex Fields: Security, Resilience, and Business
Tracks such as Hackers In Taiwan, Cyber Resilience, Open Source Business Ecosystem, and “帶您讀源碼” all respond to the challenges of open source in the real world. Topics such as cybersecurity risks, supply chain security, vulnerability handling, enterprise open source adoption, upstream contribution, licensing, governance, and maintenance challenges are all highly welcome at COSCUP.
Old Friends and New Knowledge Await: Programming Languages, Developers, and System Technologies
COSCUP has always been an important gathering place for developers. This year, we also have tracks from Ruby Taiwan, System Software, JSDC x DevFrontier, JVM Golang TW and Cloud Native, Taipei.py, GDG TW, and more. Whether your topic is language upgrades, system refactoring, lessons learned from development work, or finally untangling a long-standing technical problem, it could be a great talk.
Share What Happens at the Foundation: Databases, Blockchain, and Infrastructure
Tracks from the MySQL and PostgreSQL Taiwan user communities, as well as Blockchain and Distributed Ledger, cover experiences related to databases, distributed systems, and infrastructure. From database tuning to distributed ledgers, on-chain governance, and operations, if your experience can help another technical team avoid even one pitfall, it is worth sharing.
Open Source Is Not Only on the Screen: Hardware, Firmware, Vehicles, and E-Paper
Tracks such as Open-EP, Software Defined Vehicle, Open Source Inspired Hardware, and Open Source Firmware show that open source is not limited to the software world. E-paper, open hardware, firmware development, automotive open source technologies, and software-hardware integration experiences all have a place on this stage.
Bringing Open Source into the Real World: Open Culture, Localization, and Public Issues
Tracks such as State of the Map Taiwan / Wikidata Community Summit, Fediverse & Social Web, Open Source Policy, OSPN Japan, Taiwan Free Software Localization Community, Agriculture Open Data Community, and the anonymous network community anoni.net cover open culture and public-interest topics. Experiences in localization, open data work, open source policy advocacy, community building, public participation, or decentralized social networks can all become entry points for others to join the open source world.
If you have looked through the tracks and feel that your topic is important, but are not sure where it belongs, do not close the submission page just yet. COSCUP also has a general track that welcomes talks on FLOSS, open culture, open source compliance, open source licensing, open source careers, and experiences from participating in open source conferences abroad.
Get your experience ready and step onto the stage with us.
Your talk might be the starting point for someone else’s journey into open source.
Support the Stage and Help Open Source Move Forward
In addition to the Call for Proposals, we are also seeking sponsorship and partnership support. Alongside our corporate sponsorship tiers, we are continuing the “customized community sponsorship package,” allowing supporters not only to sponsor the conference, but also to direct part of their support to partner communities, helping them continue their work before and after COSCUP.
We welcome friends and community partners who are willing to help make connections. Let support be more than one-time exposure. Let it become part of a shared open source public stage, sustained by volunteers, speakers, communities, and partners together.

If you believe in open source, in sharing, and in the power of exchange to strengthen communities, we warmly invite you to help us support this annual gathering.
We look forward to seeing you at COSCUP x UbuCon Asia 2026!
Sincerely,
The COSCUP 2026 Organizing Team
